Motorcyclist Killed On 14 Freeway Onramp In Lancaster

LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) —  A motorcyclist was killed in a single vehicle accident at an onramp to the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway Saturday evening, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred on the Avenue D onramp to the southbound lanes of the freeway at 10 p.m., CHP Officer Francisco Villalobos said.

The victim, identified as 43-year-old Nicholas Wilson of Lancaster, was found on one side of the onramp, and his 2002 Suzuki on the other, according to an entry on the CHP incident log.

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene, Villalobos said.

CHP Officer David Veliz said Wilson was wearing a helmet and that speed might have been a factor in the crash.
