Motorcyclist Killed In Westwood Crash

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Officials say a motorcyclist was killed Thursday evening in a crash with a vehicle in West Los Angeles.

The accident was reported at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington Avenue.

The crash occurred around 6 p.m., said authorities.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene, according to Stu Mundel reporting in Sky9.

Speed as well as a road slick from drizzle is believed to have been a factor in the accident.

The LAPD West Traffic Division is investigating.

Officials said westbound Santa Monica Boulevard (at Federal) and northbound Barrington Avenue (at Idaho) are expected to be closed for several hours during the investigation.
