Motorcyclist Killed In Head-On Crash On Winding Palomar Mountain Road

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) —  A motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a head-on collision on one of the winding roads up Palomar Mountain.

Spokespersons for California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire told City News Service a Toyota Echo with two passengers crashed into the motorcyclist in front of the Oak Knoll Campground, located at 31718 South Grade Road, at approximately 12: 10 p.m.

Cal Fire Battalion Chief Nick Schuler said the rider died at the scene.

The man and the woman inside the car were not harmed.
