Motorcyclist Killed In Fiery Crash On 10 Freeway In El Monte Identified

EL MONTE (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities have identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a fiery wreck on the  westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in El Monte.

The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Albert Escobedo, according to  the Los Angeles County Coroner.

The crash was reported at 3:15 p.m. Friday.

Escobedo was ejected onto the freeway's eastbound side and the  motorcycle caught fire, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was  pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash closed the express lanes in both directions and one eastbound  main lane for about three hours.
