Mother Of 2 Fatally Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Authorities said a mother of two was fatally struck Sunday morning by a hit-and-run driver in Los Angeles.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Slauson Avenue, near Denker Avenue, around 2:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.

Treva Yvonne Arnold, 39, was hit by the motorist while she was crossing the street.

"The unknown driver continued on Slauson Avenue and did not stop to render aid to the dying female," police said.

Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the suspect vehicle was possibly a Volkswagen that was tan or silver in color.
