Woman Who Went Missing With Her Daughter After Arguing With Ex-Boyfriend Found

PANORAMA CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police said a woman who went missing after she argued with her ex-boyfriend has been found safe.

Joana Vanessa Rodriguez, 29, and her 7-year-old daughter, Sophia Hernandez, were last seen at about 4:45 a.m. Thursday in the area of Langdon Avenue and Parthenia Street, according to Los Angeles police officials.

Rodriguez voluntarily came to the Mission Station Thursday evening, police said.

Authorities said both Rodriguez and her daughter were safe and Rodriguez is cooperating with police.

Rodriguez argued with a former boyfriend and became upset, making threats to possibly harm herself and her daughter, before leaving, police said. Officials searched for her gray 1991 Toyota Camry 4-door sedan and located the vehicle near their home.

Anyone with information about this case can contact LAPD Mission Division at (818) 838-9800.
