CBS News Los Angeles

A Moreno Valley man was arrested on suspicion of killing a family member during a dispute at a mobile home park this week.

Giovanni Farias 28, was arrested early Thursday after deputies were called to a mobile home at the Sky Trails Mobile Village, which is located at the intersection of Perris Boulevard and Dephinium Avenue at around 11 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.

Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, identified as 52-year-old Veronica De La Luz, suffering from "traumatic injuries," according to a statement. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

"During the investigation, deputies were directed to a separate mobile home, where the suspect was located," the release said. "The suspect and victim are related, and the incident appears to have resulted from a family dispute."

Farias was arrested without further incident and booked at the Robert Presley Jail in Riverside on suspicion of murder and violation of parole, deputies said.

No further information was provided.
