1 Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Power Pole In Montebello

MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday investigated the circumstances surrounding a traffic collision that occurred in Montebello.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers were sent to the area of Telegraph Road and Greenwood Avenue for report of a single vehicle traffic collision, according to the Montebello Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned a vehicle crashed into a power pole. Power lines were lying across the roadway.

Paramedics transported a single occupant from the vehicle to a hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. An update on the victim's condition remains unclear.

Authorities temporarily turned off electricity in the area while crews worked at the scene.

The area will remain closed until noon.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
