Missing Tulare County Woman's Van Found In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are circulating a photo of a Tulare County woman who has been since March 22 and whose van was later found abandoned on the 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita.

Mary Joann Lyles, 49, is white, 5-foot-2, about 330 pounds and has blonde hair and hazel eyes.

"Her family is concerned because she is diabetic and might not have her medication with her," a sheriff's statement said.

Lyles drove away from her home without her cellphone or bank card, authorities said. Her white, 1998 Ford Windstar van was later found by the California Highway Patrol on the 14 Freeway near San Canyon Road.

Anyone with information on Lyles' whereabouts can call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at (661) 255-1121, or Tulare County Sheriff's Department Detective Rodney Klassen at (559) 733-6218.

Tipsters who want to stay anonymous can call (559) 725-4194, or by sending an email to tcso@tipnow.com.
