Missing Oxnard Mother Safely Located At Motel In Oregon

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities safely located a 39-year-old mother of two Wednesday who has been reported missing from Oxnard since the Fourth of July.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, deputies of the Deschutes County Sheriff's Department in Oregon located the vehicle of Dawn VadBunker, a 2007 silver Dodge Nitro, at a motel Wednesday morning.

Deputies then contacted VadBunker, verified her well-being and had her speak with police in Oxnard over the phone.

On July 10, family members reported VadBunker missing after her mother received a text from her saying she would stay in Santa Monica for a few days before returning to the home she shares with her parents.

Since receiving the text, her family has not been able to reach their adopted daughter by phone or text.

On Tuesday, her family expressed concern that foul play may have been involved in her disappearance.

VadBunker apologized to authorities this morning for the concern of her well-being and assured that she would be in contact with her family soon.
