Missing Mother Rescued In Remote Ravine After 2-Day Search

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A missing mother has been found alive after disappearing two days ago.

The 50-year old left her home on foot around 1:00 am on Wednesday morning to take a walk in the nearby hills, something her family says was not uncommon for her.

Search crews used a chopper to lift her out of a remote ravine just North of Mt. Baldy and Padua Roads.

That's above the city of Claremont and in Eastern LA county.

Rebecca Faulstich was located by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Search and Rescue Montrose Team.

She was conscious and suffering from dehydration.

Faulstich was taken to a nearby hospital in Glendora for further evaluation.

Police have yet to speak with Faulstich regarding how exactly she found herself stuck in the ravine.

Authorities say it appears it looks to be a simple fall, but they cannot confirm that just yet.
