Missing Altadena Teen Found Safe In Utah

ALTADENA (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities said that a 19-year-old who went missing from his Altadena home last Saturday was found safe Friday in Utah.

Jonathan Taylor Clark was found this morning more than 630 miles away. Officials said he was hungry but otherwise unharmed, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Clark has autism. His mother has left for Utah to pick him up, the sheriff's department reported.

No details were released about how Clark made his way to Utah, or how he was located there but while he was gone he sent his mother an email that said he was sorry he left and that he loved her.

According to a sheriff's missing person bulletin, Clark loves trains and public transportation.

Clark had run away before and in that instance was located in Salt Lake City, about 45 miles from North Park.
