Metrolink Train Derails At L.A. Union Station

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are investigating the cause of a Metrolink train derailment at Union Station early Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred near Bauchet and Vignes streets shortly before 5 p.m., according to a Los Angeles City Fire spokesperson.

The train remained upright and passengers were offloaded by responding personnel.

No injuries were reported.

All Metrolink trains arriving to and departing from Union Station were delayed as a result of the derailment.

Crews were still removing the cars late into the evening.

Normal service is expected to resume Wednesday morning.
