2 Seriously Injured After Car Collides With Metro Gold Line Train In Pasadena

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Two people were seriously injured when their car collided with a Metro Gold Line train in Pasadena on Sunday, authorities said.

The crash took place around 11:30 a.m. near the California Boulevard and Arroyo Parkway crossing.

The two injured people were in a Toyota Corolla when their car collided with a Gold Line train. They were transported to a hospital in serious condition, the Pasadena Fire Department said.

There were no injuries among the 24 passengers on the train

Police shut down a stretch of California Blvd. following the crash, but the road was later reopened.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
