At around 5:30 a.m., the overhead lines that supply power to the trains came down, halting train service near Allen Station, which is located near Maple Street and Allen Avenue.

Aerial footage taken from Sky2 just before 8 a.m. showed Metro officials helping passengers off a train that became stopped between stations. The passengers were walked down the railway to a waiting train which could then take them to the nearest station.

Metro was forced to shut down service in both directions between Lake and Sierra Madre Villa stations so crews could do emergency repairs to power equipment.  Buses were shuttling riders between the two stations, Metro said.

"I was told that the train is out of service, and I'm gonna be shuttled to the next station, and they're running every 10 minutes or something by bus," Eli Hanain told CBS2.

"I'd just rather drive, I'll go home, cause I'm so close I walk here," Cathy Finnan said.
