Menifee Man Wanted In Pot Grow Partner's Disappearance

PERRIS (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old Menifee man is wanted Thursday in the disappearance of his partner in an illegal pot grow near Perris.

Relatives of Gabriel Milane, 51, reported to Riverside County Sheriff's deputies Wednesday at about 9:20 a.m. that he had not returned home from a piece of property he owns and they believed it was unusual. Milane's family had searched the property and found evidence of a fight, authorities said.

Investigators determined that Milane had been illegally cultivating marijuana on the property, renting part of it to his partner, German Gonzalez-Garcia. It's suspected that Milane and Gonzalez-Garcia argued over missing marijuana and/or money and that Milane's disappearance is connected to the dispute, sheriff's officials said.

A $1 million arrest warrant was issued for Gonzalez-Garcia, who is believed to have fled to Mexico.

Anyone with information about Milane's disappearance or Gonzalez-Garcia's whereabouts can contact Investigator McClanahan or Investigator Carranza at (951) 245-3300 or (951) 776-1099.
