Memorial Vigil Held In Rialto For Victims Of Massacre In San Bernardino

RIALTO (CBSLA.com)  —  It was an emotional night in Rialto at the Saint Catherine of Siena Church.

A memorial service and vigil was held for the victims of Wednesday's massacre in San Bernardino.

Hundreds attended the somber service.

KCAL9's Brittney Hopper said those in attendance prayed for the victims -- one of the youngest victims, 27-year-old Yvette Velasco was a Saint Catherine parishioner.

Hopper said her family was too distraught to attend.

Larry Daniel Kaufman, 42, of Rialto, was also killed. His boyfriend did attend and spoke to Hopper about his loss.

"It's been very, very difficult," said Ryan Reyes, "and very, very trying. I know once it all officially sinks in, it's really going to hit home."

Hopper reported that a bell was rung for each of the victims' names was read.
