Memorial Plans In Works For San Bernardino Attack

SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — San Bernardino County officials say they're planning for a memorial to the victims and survivors of last year's shooting attack that killed 14 people.

The county said in a statement Thursday that a committee led by Supervisor Josie Gonzales has been holding regular meetings to draft a plan.

The memorial will be dedicated to those killed when husband-and-wife shooters opened fire at a luncheon for county employees on Dec. 2. It will also recognize those injured in the attack and the first responders who rushed to their aid.

The committee has not decided where the memorial will be located, what form it will take or when it will be erected.

Committee members include victims' relatives, witnesses to the attack and county employees.
