Massive Structure Fire Reported In Watts Building

WATTS (CBSLA.com) —  The LA County and LA City Fire Departments battled a large structure fire in Watts Thursday.

The building is located at 109th and Central in the 10000 block of South Central Ave.

Heavy black smoke is visible for miles.

Sky2's Stu Mundel said firefighters battled the blaze and flames shot through the roof of the large industrial building.

Within minutes, the building appeared to be fully engulfed.

It was unclear if the building was abandoned but Mundel reported there were no people inside the building -- reportedly the Bradley Multipurpose Senior Center -- when the fire was reported.

No injuries have been reported.
