Man's Body Located Near Sports Bar In Corona During Stabbing Investigation

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Police on Monday investigated the stabbing death of a man who's body was found near a sports bar in Corona.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to Racks Bourbon and Billiards located in the 1600 block of East Sixth Street for report of a stabbing, according to the Corona Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a man suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation located the body of another man in the general area. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Officials said the man also sustained stab wounds during the incident.

Detectives said they are working to determine if the stabbings are related.

According to police, a man was detained at the scene for questioning in connection with the stabbing.

The investigation is ongoing.
