Manhunt Underway For 2 Shooting Suspects In Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A manhunt was underway Thursday morning for two shooting suspects in Huntington Beach.

A 29-year-old man was shot at a home in the 8300 block of Lambert Drive around 3:30 a.m., according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou reports the victim, who was described as being in his late 20s to early 30s, was hospitalized in extremely critical condition at UCI Medical Center after sustaining two gunshot wounds to the chest.

At least one suspect was said to be wearing a ski mask at the time of the shooting.

Huntington Beach Police Chief Robert Handy said investigators believe the shooting may not have been a typical home-invasion robbery scenario.

"Our officers who responded initially did find evidence of other ongoing criminal activity that's been occurring at the house," Handy said.

No other details were immediately released.
