Man Working For D.A.R.E. Attacked By Pitbull

EAGLE ROCK (CBSLA.com)  — A man who was trying to collect donations for the D.A.R.E. program was attacked by a Pitbull in Eagle Rock Thursday night.

CBS 2's Rachel Kim reported from outside Glendale Adventist Medical Center where the victim is being treated.

The man was trying to raise funds on for the anti-drug program on Colorado Boulevard when he was allegedly bitten by the dog.

The 20-year-old man said two women gave him $10 and moved on but then later returned with the Pitbull. The man asked if the dog was friendly and if he could pet it. The women said yes and he was bitten in the face and head. The two women took off with the dog and have not been identified.  The injuries are not life-threatening but the man will need plastic surgery.
