Man With Knife Fatally Shot By Police In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting Monday in Anaheim.

As a motor officer conducted a traffic stop at 300 W. La Palma at 2:40 p.m., police say a second man pulled over from a pick-up truck with a knife and charged the officer.

Both officers opened fire, and the suspect was several times, police said. He was later taken to UCI Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

No officers were injured.

La Palma remains closed between Harbor Boulevard and Lemon Avenue during the police investigation.
