Man Wanted For Threatening Trader Joe's Employee Over Backpack Full Of Liquor

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man is wanted Wednesday for filling his backpack with liquor and leaving a Trader Joe's market without paying for it, then threatening one employee with a knife.

The robbery happened at the Cheviot Hills location in the 10700 block of National Boulevard, near Westwood Boulevard, at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

He loaded the backpack and left without paying, and when store employees confronted him, he threatened them with a knife.

The alcohol robber was described as a Hispanic man with black hair in a ponytail, a beard, mustache, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He wore a dark sweater, dark shorts, and gray and black tennis sneakers.
