Man Wanted For Groping Woman With Autism

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are looking for a man who exposed himself to a woman with autism several times and groped her.

Detectives were called out to an area near Harper and Fountain avenues in West Hollywood at 2 p.m. on April 17, where the attack happened, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

A 20-year-old woman with autism told investigators she was approached by a man as she waited for a bus at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street and he followed her onto the westbound MTA line #2, Bus #3942. They both got off the bus at Santa Monica Boulevard and Fairfax.

As the woman walked home, the suspect exposed himself several times, detectives said, and when they reached an underground parking garage, the man pushed the woman up against a wall and groped her. He fled on foot when another car drove into the parking garage.

The suspect was described as a black man, about 6 feet tall, 225 pounds, with a stocky build, his hair in corn rows and an earring in his left ear.

Anyone with information about this attack or the man's identity can contact Los Angeles County sheriff's Detective Gregory Boagni at (310) 358-4014 or Detective Sergeant Jeffrey Bishop at (310) 358-4013.
