Man Wanted For Allegedly Molesting Teen Girls During Photography Sessions

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives sought the public's help Monday in finding a 53-year-old man wanted to allegedly molesting teen girls during photography sessions.

Gilardo Vadillo Nunez is accused of molesting four victims, all under the age of 15, after he photographed their quinceañeras, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The alleged crimes took place at Brand Park in Mission Hills.

"Nunez would video himself touching the victims as the girls posed in his Humvee at local parks," Lt. Paul Vernon said. "While Nunez's wife was often present, she claimed she was unaware of the crimes."

Nunez and his company, Hollywood Photos and Video, are well known among the Hispanic population in the San Fernando Valley for photographing celebrations over the last five years.

Police also searched Nunez's Panorama City home in December where they found evidence of child molestation hidden in a closet.

"The closet was interesting. It was in a master bedroom and the closet had two doors. The first door had its own deadbolt and key . . . the second door was about four or five inches behind it with two separate dead bolts and keys that opened into the closet and inside the closet is where we found pictures and video of the suspect committing his crimes," Det. Nicole Kittle said.

A judge has issued an arrest warrant for felony lewd acts on a child. Bail has already been set at $1 million.

Nunez is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium build and a receding hairline.

He drives a yellow Humvee with license plate 5CUK746.

Anyone with information on Nunez should contact Det. Nicole Kittle at (818) 838-9975 or Marc Madero at (818) 838-9969.
