Man To Be Charged With Murder In Connection With Death Of Professional Dancer

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 20-year-old man is expected to be charged with murder in connection with the death of a professional dancer who had been reported missing six days ago.

West Covina police said bail for Philip Von Wade -- who is scheduled to be arraigned Monday -- has been set at $1 million.

Wade stands accused in the death of Rahkeem Amani Reyes, whose body was found in a remote area in Azusa Canyon Saturday.

The 27-year-old Reyes, who lived in Alta Loma, had been missing for over a week prior to the discovery.

He was reported missing Sept. 5, though his unoccupied vehicle was located in the 1500 block of McWood later that day.

The circumstances surrounding his death were not known.

No further information was immediately available.
