NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A man was tied up with shoelaces during a home invasion robbery in North Hollywood, police said Friday.

The robbery happened in the 6600 block of Gentry Avenue at about 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Los Angeles police Sgt. Season Nunez said. There was a man and a woman in the residence, but neither was injured, she said.

The property taken included jewelry, electronics and $3,000 in cash, Nunez said, adding that the two robbers carried handguns and are thought to have left the scene in a dark vehicle.
