Man Suspected Of Fatally Shooting Teenager In Santa Ana Turns Himself In

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A 21-year-old man who is suspected of killing a teenage boy in Santa Ana has turned himself in to police.

The Santa Ana Police Department made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Matthew Granados is accused of killing Alex Adrian Ramirez, 16, at a home located in the 3600 block of W. Hazard Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Sunday.

His father, Alexander Christopher Granados, 41, was arrested Monday on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact.

Detectives recovered a gun inside the home.

According to police, Granados was friends with Ramirez.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
