Man Stabs 2, Fatally Shoots Another During Fight Outside Hollywood Bar

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com)  —  Police said a man stabbed two men during a fight and then fatally shot another man during an argument outside a Hollywood bar.

The stabbing victims are expected to survive, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations office.

Police were dispatched to the San Salvador Bar in the 900 block of North Western Avenue at 12:35 a.m. in response to an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon call, Lopez said.

The shooting victim, who died at a nearby hospital, was described as a 38-year-old man. His name was withheld until his next of kin could be notified.

The suspect was described only as a Latino. His age and possible relationship to the victims -- if any -- was not revealed.

The cause of the fight and argument was also not disclosed.
