Man Stabbed After Being Kicked Out Of 'Straight Outta Compton' Screening

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old man was stabbed in Anaheim after being kicked out of a screening of "Straight Outta Compton" at a movie theater in Orange, police said Tuesday.

The Santa Ana man was kicked out of Century Stadium 25 cinema complex for bringing alcohol into the theater, Orange police Lt. Fred Lopez said.

Police said he left the theater and ended up in Anaheim, where he got into an "altercation" with another person and was stabbed.

Orange police initially took the lead in the investigation until "evidence and witness statements revealed the stabbing took place in Anaheim," Lopez said.

Initial reports that the stabbing happened in the parking lot of the movie theater were incorrect, he said.

The victim suffered two stab wounds to the chest, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening, Anaheim police Sgt. Ryan Blackburn said.
