Man shot to death in Santa Ana; investigation underway

Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in the parking lot of Riverview Park in Santa Ana late Friday. 

They were called to the 1800 block of W. 21st Street at around 9:40 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire in the area, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. 

"Officers responded to the scene and found an unresponsive 46-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," the release said. 

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. The victim has not yet been identified. 

Detectives have yet to identify any suspects in the shooting or determine a motive.
