Man Shot To Death In Parking Lot Of Whittier Jack In The Box

WHITTIER (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's detectives were investigating the shooting death of a man early Friday in an unincorporated area near Whittier.

Homicide detectives were sent out to the 11300 block of Washington Boulevard to the parking lot of a Jack in the Box restaurant just before midnight, Sheriff's spokeswoman Deputy Lisa Jansen said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation indicates the shooters drove up, exited their vehicle and opened fire at the victim, who was sitting in the parking lot, police said.

No suspect description was immediately available, but deputies are reportedly looking for a dark sedan.
