Man Shot To Death In Lancaster

LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in Lancaster, according to officials.

The man was shot around 8:20 p.m. at 20th Street West and West Avenue K, authorities said.

The 25 to 30-year-old was sitting in his vehicle at a red light when he was fatally shot.

"The suspect pulled alongside the victim's vehicle and shot several rounds from a firearm at the victim. As the victim drove through the intersection, the suspect fired several more times at the victim," Dep. Kim Manatt said.

He suffered multiple gunshot wounds in his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The suspect, described only as male, and the murder weapon and are outstanding," Dep. Manatt added.
