Man shot to death in Home Depot parking lot in North Hollywood

A man was shot to death in the parking lot of a Home Depot store in North Hollywood on Friday evening. 

It happened at around 8:15 p.m. at the location in the 11500 block of Sherman Way, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. 

Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 20s lying on the ground of the parking lot outside of the store. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics where he was later pronounced dead. 

The victim has not yet been identified. 

Police believe that the victim and another unidentified man were involved in some sort of argument which escalated into a shooting. 

After being struck by gunfire, the victim fell to the ground where he was then run over by a truck, police said. They noted that they do not believe the truck was involved in the shooting. 

The suspect fled from the area and has not yet been located, police said.
