Man Shot, Killed In Carson; Suspects Wanted

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives Wednesday investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of an adult man in Carson.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies were sent to the 21900 block of Grace Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday after residents reported hearing gunshots in the area.

Upon their arrival, authorities discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

"The victim was riding his bicycle south on Grace Avenue when he was approached by two suspects," said Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez. "The suspects then shot at the victim and fled the scene, running south on Grace Avenue and east through multiple residences."

No suspect descriptions have been provided.

The investigation is ongoing as the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
