Man Shot In Neck While Driving In Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A man remained hospitalized Monday for injuries sustained in a drive-by shooting in Garden Grove.

Shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to the 11200 block of Westminster Avenue for report of a shooting, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned a man self-transported himself to a hospital for treatment of apparent gunshot wounds.

Hospital officials said the victim is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the victim was shot in the neck while he drove his car.

Suspects traveling in a possible white, late-model Cadillac Escalade opened fire in the area.

Police believe the incident was not targeted.

The investigation is ongoing.
