Man Killed In Koreatown Fight

KOREATOWN (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally stabbed and another was arrested in Koreatown early Wednesday morning after he was initially believed to have tried to intervene in an argument.

The incident was reported just after 3 a.m. at Third Street and Serrano Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a man his 30s in the street suffering from stab wounds.

Police initially said the victim was trying to intervene in an argument between the suspect and his former girlfriend when the suspect turned and stabbed him before fleeing the scene.

CBS2/KCAL9's Christine Lazar reports LAPD now says a "third party" became involved in the fight.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No further details were released.
