Lancaster Man In Custody For Allegedly Killing Brother's Friend With Bow-And-Arrow

LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old man was in custody Saturday for allegedly killing his brother's friend with a bow-and-arrow during a dispute.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Garrett Adams was arguing with his girlfriend at his home when his brother and a friend attempted to intervene.

The dispute continued outside when Adams armed himself with a hunting bow-and-arrow and shot his brother's friend once, officials said.

Lancaster Sheriff's deputies responded to the 43000 block of 27th West around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived on scene, they found the victim with an arrow wound to the upper torso.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition but died hours later.

Adams was arrested for murder and booked at the Lancaster Sheriff's Station where he is being held on $1 million bail.

The victim's identity has not been released.
