Man Killed In Head-On Crash With USPS Truck In Huntington Park

HUNTINGTON PARK (CBSLA.com) — A person was killed early Friday morning in a collision between a U.S. Postal Service semi-truck and a sedan.

The accident happened just after 2 a.m. near the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Alameda Street in Huntington Park, police said.

The driver of the sedan was speeding while traveling eastbound on Slauson Avenue when he crossed over the double-yellow line and collided with the truck head on.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The USPS driver was not injured.
