Man In Wheelchair Killed In Pacoima Hit-And-Run Accident

PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — A man in a wheelchair was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Pacoima on Friday evening.

Authorities said the accident occurred about 8 p.m. in the 13100 block of Terra Bella Street.

Officials said the victim was hit by a dark Cadillac SUV with tinted windows.

The vehicle should have significant front-end damage, authorities said.

Witnesses said the driver left the victim bleeding in the street and did not render aid.

The unidentified victim was taken to Holy Cross Trauma Center in critical condition. He was declared dead after arriving, authorities said.

CBS2's Rachel Kim reported from the scene and said the victim was 42-year-old and crossed in an unmarked crosswalk.

She also said the SUV driver dragged the man for 100-150 feet.
