Man In His 20s Fatally Shot At Koreatown Bus Stop

KOREATOWN (CBSLA.com) — A man in his 20s was shot and killed at a Koreatown bus stop, authorities said Sunday.

The fatal shooting happened at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue shortly after 1 a.m.

Investigators say Bryan Martinez Rubio, 28, was waiting for the bus when two other men approached. An altercation ensued, and resulted in a shooting, authorities said.

Rubio died at the scene.

Multiple people witnessed the shooting, according to LAPD Detective Steve Katz.

"We have several witnesses that we've interviewed. Trying to get to the bottom of it right now," he said.

The suspects were described as two Hispanic males in their 20s. They allegedly fled in a dark-colored pickup truck. No arrests have been made.
