Man Fatally Shot In Truck On East LA Street
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The fatal shooting of a man was under investigation Tuesday in East LA.
The unidentified victim was found sitting in the driver's seat of a black truck at 3:20 a.m. in the 4800 block of Telegraph Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the driver's side window shot out and the vehicle's motor running.
"He was parked on the wrong side of the road with the hood up. So we don't know if he was having car problems or somebody else was having car problems," Lt. Holly Francisco said.
He suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was "pronounced dead at the scene," said officials.
No additional information or suspect description was released.
Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call the LASD.
