Man Found Bludgeoned To Death In Highland Park

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives sought the public's help on Tuesday to identify those responsible for bludgeoning a man to death in Highland Park.

Just before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, officers were sent to a radio call of "ambulance man down" located in the 4700 block of North Figueroa Street.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a Hispanic man in a stairwell leading up to the pedestrian bridge, suffering from multiple head injuries.

Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

Authorities said the victim is believed to have been between the ages of 40 to 45-years-old. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

At this time, detectives do not have a motive for the brutal crime.

No suspect description was immediately available.
