Man Fatally Struck In Long Beach Hit-And-Run

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a man has died after being struck by a vehicle that allegedly fled the scene in Long Beach.

Long Beach police Officer Lopez tells CBSLA that police responded to the area of Spring Street and Karen Avenue about 12:11 a.m. Saturday following a report of a "person down" in traffic lanes.

When they arrived, they located an unidentified man, who had sustained major injuries.

The suspect vehicle allegedly fled the location, authorities said.

The victim's name has not been released.

No further information was immediately provided.
