Man Fatally Stabbed During Altercation Outside Pub In Laguna Niguel

LAGUNA NIGUEL (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Monday investigated the stabbing death of a man in Orange County.

Shortly after midnight, deputies were sent to Patsy's Irish Pub, located in the 28900 block of Golden Lantern for report of a stabbing victim, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located an adult an suffering from a stab wound to his upper torso area.

Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital where he later died.

The Orange County coroner's office has identified him as Shayan Mazroei, 22, of Laguna Niguel.

A preliminary investigation revealed Mazroei and another man were involved in a physical altercation outside of the pub.

During the fight, Mazroei was fatally stabbed.

The suspect fled from the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
