Man Fatally Shot Outside Koreatown Cafe

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said a man has died following a shooting outside a Koreatown cafe.

Two women were also injured in the deadly incident, which unfolded just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, in the 600 block of Shatto Place.

Police said they apprehended the suspected shooter about a block from the crime scene.

LAPD Lt. John Radtke told KNX 1070 that officers in the area had heard shots fired and made their way toward the gunfire.

That's when the lieutenant says they were directed to the suspect.

"They chased the suspect and the suspect ran into the street and he was struck by a vehicle," Lt. Radtke said.

Police said the women were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately disclosed.
