Man Fatally Shot In Norwalk

NORWALK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said a man was shot and killed Sunday evening in Norwalk.

The shooting occurred about 6:20 p.m. in the 13200 block of Rosecrans Avenue, just west of Carmenita Road, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Guillermina Saldana.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and sheriff's homicide detectives were sent to investigate the killing, she said.

KCAL9's Crystal Cruz said the victim is a 41-year-old Latino.

The victim was waiting at a bus stop in front of a Mexican restaurant.

Detectives told Cruz the man was pronounced dead at the scene. They also said the victim was a documented gang member with past drug history.
