Brother Vs. Brother Fistfight In Compton Leads To Deadly Shooting

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) —  Authorities said a fistfight between two brothers in Compton Sunday afternoon preceded a deadly shooting.

Homicide detectives were dispatched about 4:50 p.m. to the 2400 block of West Tichenor Street to investigate the murder, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Amber Smith said.

The victim, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.

The man's brother,  44, remained on the scene following the shooting, a detective told a videographer.

The two men were fighting at a gathering when it escalated, according to witnesses.
