Man Detained In Northridge After Police Pursuit

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — A man was taken into custody Tuesday after the end of a pursuit in the Northridge area.

The unidentified man was taken into custody at Reseda Boulevard and Nordhoff Avenue after his car was blocked off by another vehicle.

"While this pursuit was going on, this black vehicle that you see also in the shot, live picture, blocked that vehicle coming out of the parking lot," reported Sky 2's Stu Mundel. "A woman jumped out and basically ran up to the suspect that was being pursued."

Mundel said tense moments unfolded and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department managed to separate the two.

The suspect was taken into custody.

The woman was also detained, although it's unclear what charges, if any, she will face.
